About John Angelo

John’s foundation in agriculture is both personal and professional. He spent over a decade managing farm and ranch operations, gaining firsthand knowledge of agricultural enterprises. This real-world experience complements his formal education and informs his approach when advising clients in agri-business and rural finance.

He transitioned into banking with a 12-year career that began at the teller line and culminated in his role as Market President. A significant portion of his banking tenure was focused on Special Assets—where he developed deep expertise in managing distressed financial situations, loan workouts, and restructuring strategies. This experience laid the groundwork for his specialization in insolvency and turnaround consulting.

For the past decade, John has served as a business and financial consultant, helping distressed organizations navigate crisis, regain stability, and improve profitability.

John’s work often involves:

In addition to his consulting work, John is active in real estate investment and construction, applying his financial acumen to successful development projects.

John holds a Certificate in Ranch Management from Texas Christian University (1999). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Colorado State University (Cum Laude, 2002), and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado in 2016—a program focused on the ownership and leadership of community banks.

In recognition of his expertise, John is a member of the Association for Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA) and holds the CIRA credential, a mark of distinction for professionals who specialize in restructuring, insolvency, and turnaround strategies. He also holds a Colorado Real Estate Broker’s License and a Private Pilot Certificate.
